WEST CREWKERNE PARISH COUNCIL

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE WEST CREWKERNE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING WILL BE HELD VIA ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCING ON TUESDAY 9TH MARCH  2021 AT 7.00PM.

 

 

Members are reminded that the Council has a general duty to consider the following matters in the exercise of any of its function: Equal Opportunities (race, gender, sexual orientation, marital status and any disability), Crime & Disorder, Health & Safety and Human Rights.

The business to be transacted will be;

            1.  Apologies for Absence

 

2.  Public Open Forum – Each member of the public present is entitled to speak once

     only, in respect of business itemised on the agenda and shall not speak for more

     than 5 minutes.

 

3.  Declarations of Interest in items on the agenda (Pecuniary or non-statutory                 

     Interests).

 

4.  To approve the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on the 12th January 2021

 

5.  Matters arising from the minutes not covered elsewhere on the Agenda. 

 

            6.  Planning Matters.

             West Crewkerne Parish Council is a Statutory Consultee for Planning Applications

and as such does not make the final decision on any application.  Any decisions        and comments made by the Parish Council will be fed into the planning process and added to the report by the Planning Officer.  South Somerset District Council is the Planning Authority and will issue the final decision notice (Planning Determination) once their investigations into the application, consultation period and decision making process has been completed.

Erection of a single storey extension to rear of dwelling.

Application permitted with conditions.

C): 20/03289/HOU The Granary. Henley Manor, Henley Cross, West Crewkerne, Crewkerne TA18 8PQ.

Insertion of a conservation roof light to front elevation of dwelling.

Application permitted with conditions

E): 20/03273/FUL Land at Os4600 Peckmoor Farm Henley, Crewkerne Somerset.

Use of land for siting of 3 holiday lodges and formation of hard standings and trackways.

Awaiting decision.

 

 

8.  Highway Matters

A. New drains between Hewish cross-roads and Copperfields are unsatisfactory.

B. Drain on the B3165, the Clapton Road.

 

9. Roundham

Update from Somerset County Council regarding speeding monitors.

 

10. Reports from Councillors, including District and County Councillors.

 

11. Finance

                   A) To pay:-

                        1. Clerk Salary £181.66          

2. HMRC £45.41 

3. Pay SALC for two training courses £50.00.  These invoices have already been paid.

4. Domain name transferred and renewed, Cheque to Mr D Yeomans for £56.39 for the cost of this.

            

      

12. Correspondence;

A): Various e-mails. Coronavirus updates from various sources, Avon and Somerset Constabulary, Somerset Waste Partnership and Rural Bulletin.

B): Parish Footpath warden.

 

12.   To confirm that the next meeting of the West Crewkerne Parish Council will be 

held on Tuesday 11th May 2021 this will be the Annual General Meeting of the Parish as well as the Parish Council meeting.  At this present time we do not know if it will be via Zoom or in person.  It is subject to the Government extending the statute that allows Parish Council to use Zoom as a platform for meetings.  If the statue is not extended then the meeting could be held in the Clapton and Wayford village hall subject to the Roadmap out of Lockdown going according to the Government’s Plan.
