Widespread bin collection disruption is continuing across Somerset amid a “catastrophic” shortage of drivers nationally.
Missed and delayed collections have been affecting households across the county for the past couple of months.
Somerset Waste Partnership (SWP) has once again issued an apology as disruption continues.
SWP has warned Somerset residents to expect further delays in the coming days.
The Road Haulage Association has previously described the HGV driver shortage as of “catastrophic proportions” – with the national driver shortfall estimated at 70,000 last month.
